Fraud Nirmal Baba exposed with Rs 238 cr 'turnover'
Bangalore: Greed for money, corruption, crime seems to have pushed India's future into dark. With the new revelation in the "fraud" godman Nirmal Baba case, the spiritual leader has been exposed with Rs 235 crore. After the tremendous pressure, which has been mounted on him, Nirmal Baba finally accepted that the total turnover of his Nirmal Durbar is almost Rs 235 crore.
However, Nirmal Baba refused to accept the allegations against him saying that he did not pay people to pose bogus questions at his samagams and prayer meetings. Justifying himself, Nirmala Baba claimed, "I am against all forms of superstition. People follow and believe in me because I tell my followers not to believe in any form of superstition." "I'm lucky to have been blessed with special powers," said Nirmal Baba while he failed to convince people with his answers as to why he was allegedly able to spiritually help people.
Bank account sees a massive drop in deposits
Nirmal Baba's stock, it seems, took a tumble on Friday. After news broke in media regarding his 'assets' and his 'miracles', newspaper Prabhat Khabar reported that only Rs 34 lakh were deposited in his 'Nirmal Darbar' account on Friday, a pittance when compared to his earlier earnings. On an average the account has seen a transaction of Rs 1 crore everyday. Each day atleast 4,000 followers deposit their 'Samagam fees' of Rs 2,000. But this figure fell to only 1800 on Friday.
