Reliance Big TV subscribers can now watch STAR India’s new show Satyamev Jayte and its new Hindi movie channel, Movies OK

The subscribers of Reliance Big TV can now watch their favourite channels from the networks like Star, Zee, Turner and NDTV as the distributor of these channels, Media Pro Enterprise India Pvt. Ltd. has resumed the signal to the DTH operator. Confirming this development to BestMediaInfo.com, Gurjeev Singh Kapoor, COO, Media Pro said, “Both the companies have resolved the issues and our channels are now live on Reliance Big TV.” Media Pro had discontinued the signal to Reliance Big TV yesterday and served switch-off notice to cable TV delivery platform GTPL over non-payment of dues and differences on reported subscriber numbers.

However, the deadlock between Media Pro and GTPL continues hence the subscribers of one of the largest cable TV delivery platforms in Gujarat will miss the channels distributed by Media Pro that includes STAR India’s new television series, Satyamev Jayte, featuring Aamir Khan on 6th May, and its new Hindi movie channel, Movies OK.

Media Pro had said in a written statement yesterday that the decision to switch off its channel on two platforms was difficult but necessary to curb the prevailing evil of piracy, under-reporting and non-payment to broadcasters and send a strong message to the operators supporting such malpractices.
