Nirmal Baba's Yes bank account closed

Ranchi : With financial donations from devotees flowing to a trickle, one of the bank accounts of Nirmal Darbar has been closed down, says a report in the local daily Prabhat Khabar. Not a single rupee was deposited in the last one month in Nirmal Darbar's Yes Bank account (no 023584100000032), a bank official told the newspaper adding that the account was being closed. He did not reveal whether the account had been closed by the bank or by Nirmal Darbar. 


There are two more bank accounts held by Nirmal Darbar presently, one in Punjab National Bank (No. 1546002100023105)  and the other in ICICI Bank.There is a savings bank account held by Nirmaljit Singh Nirula aka Nirmal Baba in PNB ( no. 1546000102129694), in which Rs 228 crore were deposited within a year.In another account of Nirmal Darbar held in a private sector bank, the balance was Rs 6.07 crore as of 11 am on June 8, 2012. 


The newspaper report said, there has been very  few transactions in both these accounts. There has been no withdrawal. Previously, daily deposits used to range upwards of Rs one crore in this account, and it has now trickled down to Rs 1.5 lakh-Rs 3 lakh on a daily average.Hardly 700 to 800 devotees deposit money in this account daily, the report says. Most of Nirmal Baba's deposits have been reportedly invested in real estate, says the Prabhat Khabar report.
