Dainik Bhaskar ready with 2nd edition of ‘Bollywood Awards’
Dainik Bhaskar Group has announced the second edition of Dainik Bhaskar Bollywood award. Touted as the “truly democratic Bollywood awards of the country”, the announcement was made recently by the star cast of the just released film ‘Bol Bachchan’. 2011 witnessed the first edition of the Awards, where the cine stars are judged by their fans.
On why the Awards are called “democratic awards”, Gyan Gupta, CEO, Dainik Bhaskar - Digital Division, told exchange4media, “We are calling these Awards totally democratic because all the winners will be decided by public vote. There is no partial weightage included in this award. If the public can decide every Friday, which movie is good and which is not, then they can also choose their best actor/ actress.”
The Awards will not only let people choose their favourite stars as winners, but 10 people will be selected to walk on the red carpet and hand over the award to the winning stars. In order to create awareness of the Awards, Dainik Bhaskar has partnered with Radio City and E-24. In the coming days, there will be some OOH ads as well. Meanwhile, a print campaign has already broken on Dainik Bhaskar and DNA newspapers. The voting has commenced on Dainikbhaskar.com website and will continue till August. The Awards ceremony will be held in the first week of September.
