Naseeruddin Shah launches book 'A Bolt Of Lightning' by Satyen Nabar

Mumbai : Landmark and Leadstart Publishing hosted the launch of the book 'A Bolt Of Lightning', a debut novel by Satyen Nabar. The novel was released by Naseeruddin Shah & Former Billiards World Champion Padma Bhushan Michael Ferreira, on 3rd July 2012 at Landmark, Infiniti Mall, Andheri. Landmark witnessed the coming together of some of the renowned personalities from different backgrounds, who were seen sharing their experiences with the enthralled audience as well as the media. The debutant author Satyen Nabar, who is a surgeon by profession was feeling ecstatic by the response he got from two industry stalwarts Naseeruddin Shah and Michael Ferreira.
Naseeruddin Shah shared his views on the book pointing out that how the book connects instantly with all the young workaholics who are experiencing mid life crisis. He also appreciated the author for writing such an intriguing piece which entices the readers throughout the novel. World Billiard Champion Michael Ferreira read out a few excerpts from the book along with Satyen and Naseeruddin Shah while the audience remained captivated. The debutant author Satyen Nabar was amazed by the positive responses that he got for his book 'A Bolt of Lightning' and said that, "A Bolt of Lightning is a modern story about a man going through mid life crisis and how his positive attitude unravels the other side of life. About The Author
Satyen Nabar, is an Orthopaedic Surgeon based in Mumbai. He is married to Ashwini, a gynaecologist and they have two adorable kids, Aryan and Gia. He is the recipient of the first prize at the Bombay University Intercollegiate Literary and Debate Competition as also multiple awards in elocution, short story writing, acting and mimicry in college and school. A former Literary Secretary of G.S. medical college and KEM Hospital and Best Student overall for curricular and extracurricular activities in IES School, he is passionate about writing, rock music, philosophy, bridge and cricket. He has previously authored a medical textbook and this is his first work of fiction. When he is not in his clinics in Mumbai, he is usually to be seen lounging on the beaches of his favorite place in the world Goa, pen and paper in hand and is currently working on his second novel. National Award Winning Actor- Padma Bhushan Naseeruddin Shah. Shah is widely considered to be one of the best actors produced by India. In 2003, the Government of India honored him with the Padma Bhushan for his contributions towards Indian cinema. Mr. Shah has twice won National Award as the best actor and once as a supporting actor. He has acted in movies such as Nishant, Aakrosh, Sparsh, Mirch Masala, Albert Pinto Ko Gussa Kyon Ata Hai, Trikal, Bhavni Bhavai, Junoon, Mandi, Mohan Joshi Hazir Ho!, Ardh Satya, Katha, Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, etc. He became active in mainstream Bollywood cinema with the 1980 film Hum Paanch. Former Billiards World Champion & World Record Holder - Padma Bhushan Michael Ferreira. Ferreira nicknamed "the Bombay Tiger", is notable amateur player of English billiards from India, and a three-time Amateur World Champion. In 1977, he won his first World Amateur Billiards Champion title and followed it up with the World Open Billiards Champion title in the same year. He has two more WABC titles under his belt. He is the first billiards player to be awarded with the Padma Bhushan, the third-highest civilian award in India, which was conferred on him after he won his third world amateur billiards title in 1983. He is also the recipient of the Maharashtra state government's Shiv Chhatrapati Award (1971), Arjuna Award (1973) and the International Fair Play Committee's Letter of Congratulations (1983). He received the Dronacharya Award in 2001 for his coaching achievements in billiards and snooker.
