Indian Political Party Shiv Sena's blacken lecturer's face over molestat...
Shiv Sena workers in Nagpur blackened the face of a lecturer who allegedly molested one of his students on April 13. The accused, Amit Ganvir, allegedly molested the girl at Dharampeth Polytechnic College — her examination centre. Police said Ganvir had caught the girl copying during the exam. He snatched her identity card, hall ticket and mobile phone before misbehaving with her, said inspector Atul Sabis, Ambhazari police station.
“After the girl’s friends complained to us, we approached the principal of the college on Thursday afternoon and demanded action against the accused. However, since the principal failed to act, we blackened Ganvir’s face and took him to the Ambazari police station,” said Shiv Sena activist Panju Totwan.
The girl said that Ganvir had used vulgar language while speaking to her. When she told him she was recording their conversation, he returned her belongings, said police. However, Ganvir then allegedly demanded sexual favours from the girl, following which she approached the police, who lodged a formal complaint against him.Sabnis said that the accused was booked under section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of the Indian Penal Code.
