A lady found her brother through a newspaper who was lost 25 years ago
A woman in California, USA, called the police after seeing a photo published in the newspaper. She told a 25-year-old truth which was difficult to believe easily. The woman said that the person whose news and photo is published in the newspaper is her brother who was separated 25 years ago. Now the police is going to reunite the two soon. But the sheriff's office has kept the woman's name secret in the interest of the family's privacy.
According to the sheriff's office, the man went missing in Doyle in 1999 and has not been found since then. The USA Today article was seeking help in identifying a man admitted to a hospital in the Los Angeles area. On Friday, they received a call from a woman who said she had information about a missing person. She told sheriff's deputy Derek Kennemore that she was sent an article from USA Today, which had a photo of a man, whom she said was her missing brother.
This unknown person went missing one day in 1999 from Doyle, California. He was around 35 years old then. No one knows where he was during this time. But on April 15, the man was found in South Los Angeles, who was brought to St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood. He was unable to speak anything. He was not even able to tell his name. In such a situation, his family could not be contacted. In April itself, the photo of this man was published in USA Today for identification. But no one contacted the police regarding the identity of that person.
Suddenly on November 22, a woman called the police and told Deputy Sheriff Derek Kennemore that the patient was her brother, because she had seen his picture in an article in USA Today of April.
The authorities soon contacted a detective from the Los Angeles Police Department's missing persons unit to confirm his identity. After this, the detective took fingerprints from the patient in LA Hospital and examined them. The results showed that he was indeed the brother of the woman who had gone missing about three decades ago. In such a situation, the police called the woman and told her that the missing person was indeed her brother. The Lassen County Sheriff's Office said that the family would be reunited soon. Captain Carney said that the sister was 'extremely excited' and she was very grateful that we took the time for this.
