Group exhibition 'Threads of Heritage' begins at Bulgarian Embassy, more than 100 paintings of 27 artists displayed

New Delhi : The group exhibition 'Threads of Heritage' was inaugurated on Wednesday at the Bulgarian Embassy in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. More than 100 paintings by 27 artists have been displayed in this exhibition. H.E. Sangwoo Lim, DCM (Minister), Embassy of the Republic of Korea, was present as the chief guest at the inauguration. He observed and appreciated the works of the artists. Lim wished the organizers for the success of the exhibition.
On the first day of the exhibition, many budding and famous artists associated with the field of art as well as people interested in art, arrived. This group exhibition is being organized by Lokayat Art Gallery, New Delhi. Director of Lokayat Art Gallery, Jenya Verma, said that in this exhibition, various colors of culture, tradition, and ambient of different states of India will be seen.
Exhibition curator, art director, and art critic Qazi M. Raghib said that this is the first time that an exhibition of Indian artists is being held at the Bulgarian Embassy. The main concept of the exhibition is that all the artists have depicted the Indian environment in their works. A glimpse of Indian culture, traditions, customs, and rural lifestyle can also be seen in the works of Korean artist Katrina Jughwa Kim, who lives in India. Jughwa Kim says that whatever she has seen and understood about India till now, she has tried to bring it on canvas through brush.
All the paintings displayed here have a theme of Indian background. The exhibition will remain open daily from 11 am to 5 pm till November 13. Entry to the exhibition will be on the basis of an invitation with a valid identity card.
