Trump may ban entry of mainstream media journalists in the White House
Washington: Donald Trump Jr., son of the newly elected US President, has revealed that his father is considering banning mainstream media. According to Trump Jr., Republicans are preparing to open the doors of the White House press briefing to more independent journalists and social media influencers and are preparing to restrict mainstream media journalists from it.
Daily Wire's political commentator Michael Knowles asked Trump Jr. in his podcast 'Triggered with Donald Trump Jr.' whether the time has come to snatch seats from traditional media? In response to this, Trump Jr. claimed and said "I was on a flight with my father and we were talking about the world of podcasts and some of our friends and people like Rogan. We talked about opening the press room for independent journalists."
Donald Trump's spokesperson said that several cabinet-level nominees and appointments to senior administration positions and their family members have received threats. Law enforcement agencies are investigating the matter.
Russia's deputy UN ambassador says any decision by the Trump administration to end support for Ukraine would be a "death sentence" for the Ukrainian military, accusing Kiev of trying to drag NATO countries into a direct conflict with Russia in the meantime.
