Journalist Ganga Pathak made fake caste certificates of tribals and got their land registered in his name. |
The case is of Tilwara police station area of Jabalpur. In village Rampur Nakatiya of Ainthakheda here, fake documents were prepared by changing the caste certificates of three tribal families. The land of tribals cannot be sold without administrative permission. But by misusing journalism, Ganga Pathak got OBC caste certificates made for all these tribals and then got their four and a half acres of land registered in his name. Later, this land was transferred to the name of his wife Mamta Pathak. A whole gang was working in this conspiracy.
On Wednesday, on the complaint of Naib Tehsildar Purnima Khandayat, the police of Tilwara police station registered a criminal case against Ganga Pathak, wife Mamta Pathak resident of Narsingh Ward Gorakhpur, Om Prakash Tripathi resident of Polipathar, Sanjeev Srivastava Sainik Society, Bharat Mehra Khaharia District Katni, Deepak Mishra Khaharia Jabalpur, Narayan Prasad Shrivas, Ramkumar Manjhi, Deepak Kumar Sahu and another resident of Jabalpur, accused of fraud, preparing fake documents, conspiracy, under SC-ST Atrocities Prevention Act.
Shakuntala Gond's 0.8000 hectare land in Rampur Nakatiya under Gram Panchayat Ainthakheda was converted into agricultural land by manipulating the records. In this case too, instead of Shakuntala Gond, Rajput was written and registered. In this, Om Prakash Tripathi, resident of Santnagar Gaurighat and five other people prepared fake documents and got the deed registered in their favour. In the third case, Om Prakash Tripathi and five other people got Veeran Singh Gond's family land registered in their names. Viren told the court that he has been cheated.
More than four and a half acres of land was registered in the revenue records in the name of Viren Singh God, a resident of Rampur Nakatiya Panchayat Ainthakheda of Jabalpur tehsil. In November 2022, Ganga Pathak and others got the land registered in their names. The accused knew that tribal land cannot be bought and sold, so the registry was done in the name of some other person as Viren Singh Rajput. For this, documents were prepared in a fraudulent manner and Rajput was also registered in front of the name of Viren Singh Gond's father. On the basis of these fake documents, the then Deputy Registrar Jitendra Rai registered the registry. When an investigation was conducted on Viren's complaint, the fraud was exposed and SDM Jabalpur Abhishek Singh Thakur declared the registry void.
A similar case of another journalist had come to light in Jabalpur itself, which was later managed. According to administrative sources, now all such files will be opened.
